Economic Development
Economic Development is something we do everyday. The Chamber refers new people in town to your business and helps newcomers find employment and housing. We work closely with the Seward County Economic Development Department to ensure the needs of current businesses are met.
Groundbreakings / Ribbon Cuttings
Groundbreaking and Ribbon Cutting ceremonies are available to all new businesses and current businesses which remodel, expand, or relocate. We offer this service to all chamber and non-chamber businesses. Members of the Ambassadors and staff attend each ceremony. The Chamber provides the ribbon, the photograph, and photo coverage in the Chamber Newsletter Business Buzz, and two local newspapers.
Spotlight on Business
The Chamber’s monthly newsletter Business Buzz, highlights a chamber business in each issue. This is an opportunity for businesses to inform the public about their products and services. There is no charge for this benefit; however, participating businesses are responsible for submitting an informational form. Articles are placed in the newsletter on a first-come basis.
Networking
Chamber activities give you the opportunity to meet new business people and new customers. This involvement gives you the best place to network with business people in our area.
Chamber Membership Picture
Each new Chamber member as well as each renewal member receives a current Chamber photo, which is very recognizable when placed in your business. It is a bright reminder to all who enter your business that you are a Chamber member.
Educational Opportunities
We offer many educational opportunities to help you and your business. Seminars and Brown Bag Luncheons provide information on legislature affairs, crime prevention, financial tips and much more. We try to provide knowledgeable speakers who know the latest information.
Committee and Event Opportunities
The best way to enjoy the community you’re living in is to get involved. The committees of the Chamber, along with numerous annual events, offer a perfect way to meet new people, learn new things, and have fun. There are numerous events throughout the year including Cinco de Mayo, Leadership Liberal, the Chamber’s Annual Banquet and Annual Duck Race. You are welcome to participate in any of these activities.

The Chamber office receives blueprint plans from some architects. These plans are for current and future building projects. Any Chamber member interested in being notified when these plans arrive may contact the Chamber office. These plans will remain for several weeks at the Chamber office for viewing.
